LipoSculpt
LipoSculpt:
Expected results:
The best candidates for LipoSculpt are not generally overweight, but individuals who want to sculpt certain areas
of their body. The most common areas to be treated are the love handles, stomach, inner thighs, saddlebags,
bra bulges, and droopy or puffy areas around previous scars (such as a c-section). Less common areas treated
are the double chin, undereye bags, and the back of the upper arms. This treatment also takes care of cellulite,
and tightens the skin as well. Some patients may only require one treatment, while others may be happier with
a series of 3-8 treatments. A free consultation is available for counselling.
Preparation for LipoSculpt:
Do not come in with an empty stomach. Eat something with protein and carbs around 2 hours before treatment.
Wear loose clothing to your session. This will improve your comfort.
Feel free to take an anti-inflammatory before your session, such as ibuprofen.
Do not use if you are allergic to artichokes, take blood thinners, have any medical problems that affect your
immune system such as diabetes or lupus. You cannot receive treatment if you have a current skin infection in
the area to be injected. Not for use in pregnant or lactating women.
Post Treatment Care Instructions:
Treat this as you would a vaccination. Keep skin clean and dry for 24-48 hours after treatment. You can take
baths/showers at any time, but do not get in a spa, swimming pool, or lake until 48 hours after treatment.
To decrease discomfort, avoid activities that increase your skin/body temperature during your swollen period.
Avoid hot showers, exercise, or any activities outside that would increase your body temperature.
If you receive a prescription for pain medicine, take it with food. This is very important if you do not frequently
use pain meds. If you take pain meds on an empty stomach, you are at risk for dizziness, syncope, nausea, and
vomitting.
It is normal to have redness, edema, tenderness, and bruising after your treatment. Most symptoms improve
daily and are resolved in 7-10 days. Bruising and edema may be present for up to 14 days.
